Retraite de méditation - Sesshin du 21 au 23 juin

Meditation retreat - Sesshin from 21 to 23 June

-

A new feature! Ryumonji Monastery now offers you the possibility of carpooling, in order to share travel costs while reducing your carbon footprint. A more ecological and economical solution, while sharing a convivial moment between retreat participants :) More information below.

This sesshin is open to all, beginners and advanced alike, and is an opportunity to dive into the heart of Sôtô zen, experiencing a practice passed down through the centuries permeating all aspects of daily life.

We will do 4 sessions of zazen - sitting meditation - per day, interspersed with samu (group work), silent meals and ceremonies.

Master Wang-Genh gives teachings on different themes. There will be opportunities to ask him questions in individual talks - dokusan - or in assembly - mondo. It is also possible to ask him questions by email which he will answer during the mondo.

The sesshin will take place from 21 to 23 June. Arrival on Thursday at 5pm. Explanations about the practice at around 7pm. Departure on Sunday  after lunch and check-out (around 3 pm).

SHALL WE TRAVEL TOGETHER?

As a participant, we offer you the opportunity to organise car pooling so that you can share the cost while reducing your carbon footprint. And all this while sharing a moment of conviviality with other retreatants :)

Click on the link below to go straight to the event created especially for you. All you need to do is

  • offer one or more places in your vehicle. For the sake of organisation, we ask you to enter your full name and to specify the main stages of your journey for better readability for potential passengers. You can also specify the cost of each passenger (services such as ViaMicheln or Mappy will enable you to calculate the overall cost of your journey)
  • ask for a carpooling solution if you do not have a car. By specifying your place of departure, or the place where you could find a car owner, drivers will know if they can meet your request or not.

Whether you are a driver or a passenger, the platform allows you to exchange messages with each other at any time to request information or simply agree on the details of your trip together.

Shall we travel together ?
